About Angela Murie

​For the past eighteen years Angela Murie has been providing counselling, mediation and parenting coordination services through her private practice.  Specializing in high conflict divorce and parenting she has worked with hundreds of parents to create workable parenting plans, decrease conflict, improve communication and work through issues that arise as barriers to co-operative parenting.  Fully trained in parenting coordination, children resisting contact with parents and inter-disciplinary collaborative family law.

​Beyond high conflict scenarios Angela Murie specializes in working with individuals:
--struggling with the impact of abuse, whether from parents or partners;
--experiencing anxiety issues;
--experiencing identity/purpose issues; 
--with addiction issues.

Training in diversity, equity, inclusion, trauma informed practice, creation of policies and clinical supervision also available.

Additionally, Angela Murie is a professor at Wilfrid Laurier University in the Bachelor of Social Work and Masters of Social Work programs; and was a professor at University of Windsor (MSW program), GuelphHumber University, and Renison College. 

Angela Murie is also a mum of two pretty much grown children, two not so grown dogs, and works actively for social justice in Canada and abroad.

Member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and the Ontario Association of Social Workers.
